Your Anchorage dog sledding adventure begins with a breathtaking helicopter ride that will take you through the majestic Great Gorge of Knik Glacier, soaring above snow fields and deep crevasses. You'll then touch down near the sled dog's summer home, where you'll have the choice to stand on the runners and mush the team, or sit as a passenger and enjoy the ride. You'll then have a full hour to spend with the dogs, taking photos and learning more about these incredible animals. Once the hour is over, you'll hop on the helicopter again and head down to the lower glacier, where you'll enjoy a guided 30-minute walk over ancient ice and around deep blue pools, exploring the glacier's otherwordly beauty and learning more about its life-cycle and importance in nature.
