Prepare to be transported to another time as you witness the captivating spectacle of the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, where displays of raw power and nimble agility breathe life into the logging legacy of yesteryears. This Ketchikan shore tour is sure to deliver the depth and breadth of Southeast Alaska's rich history!

The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show is an action-packed event where traditional logging techniques have become a sport! Watch these talented lumberjacks scale poles, chop wood, and throw axes with incredible precision! Covered seating areas make it a fantastic family friendly tour option, no matter the weather.

When you arrive at Saxman Native Village, your guide will greet you with the traditional Tlingit dialect and lead you to the Beaver Clan House. Here, you will be swept away by an intricate tapestry of traditional songs and dances performed by the Cape Fox Dancers. Through the thunderous rhythm of drums, scents, props, and beautiful native regalia, these songs weave tales of the native people from this region of Alaska.

Following this performance, your guide will take you to the Canoe Center, where you’ll learn about the craftsmanship of canoe-making and age-old fishing practices. Then, delve into the intricate artistry of totem pole carving at the Carving Center, where each stroke of the chisel breathes life into ancient stories and symbolic motifs. Conclude your experience at the totem pole park, where towering monuments stand as silent sentinels of cultural heritage.
