Description

The Bennett Lake Scenic Journey is a unique train experience, taking you further along the route than other Skagway train tours for a full-day excursion. Many round-trip White Pass railroad experiences climb to the top of White Pass summit and turn around, but this excursion explores Canada's wild Yukon Territory. Coupled with a guided bus tour, enjoy the scenery from two different perspectives with fully narrated history along the way. Add all the features of the White Pass railroad excursion with a Yukon experience to see more stunning scenery and the highlights beyond the border. This is an exclusive Skagway train tour that has limited seating, so advanced reservations are recommended!

If you're researching Skagway tours then you've undoubtedly heard about the White Pass train, a historic, narrow-gauge railroad that climbs up and over White Pass Summit and meanders into Canada's Yukon Territory. It's universally accepted as one of the "must-do" activities in Skagway Alaska, and with good reason. The Bennett Lake Scenic Journey is the pinnacle of the White Pass scenic railway options available. It spans the entire 67.5 mile route, bypassing the typical White Pass Summit turn-around and continues on even further into Carcross, Yukon.

Rather than retracing the same track back to downtown Skagway, this tour is paired with a bus trip in a small and comfortable mini-coach that gives guests a different perspective, includes an informative narrative from a friendly local guide, and explores more scenery. Plus, your guide will pull over when you spot wildlife! This excursion is an excellent way to spend your day in Skagway. Stops at Emerald Lake, Carcross, and views of Yukon's Southern Lakes Region are all added bonuses on this Skagway train excursion.

What's Included

This tour includes both a one-way train ticket between Skagway and Carcross, Yukon as well as a narrated bus tour on the Klondike Highway. Lunch is provided on board the train and time is provided for a self-guided tour of the historic gold rush town-site at Bennett Station.
